Getting called to the chief's office...

This simply had to happen. The Catholic Church in Ireland is in crisis in light of the abuse scandal that has bombarded the media over the last few months, and His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, has summoned the bishop of Ireland to an emergency summit. No, the pontiff isn't doing it to save face, but to address a problem and essentially tell the Irish clergy "get your act together!"

Pope Benedict XVI is quoted to have been "disturbed and distressed" by the Murphy report detailing the investigation into the Irish Catholic Church's abuse scandal.
